The bar provides a friendly "Rum Shop" vibe offering excellent value for money for customers. Stocked with all the usual beers you'd expect to find, there's also a healthy selection of wines to choose from. Rum and spirits are served by the shot, mini, flask or even the bottle which you can take with you if you don't finish.

Launched in May 2014, and working hard with local farmers and fishermen in using only "fresh meat and fish", British expats Marc and Sally Egan created Marco Polo Bar & Grill - a fresh take on the traditional Bajan Restaurant blending the best of both cultures to offer great food and drink at affordable prices.
The bar plays relaxing music ranging from the 70's, 80's and today's hits . Every Friday there's a Fish, Chips & Mushy Pea night As for sport, every effort is made to screen all the top sporting action in the "Mount Gay" Lounge.
Marc started life like many chefs washing pots in a local restaurant - this was an award-winning Indian restaurant - and after school and weekends this is where you would find him. The buzz and passion in the kitchen was amazing and so the dream was born.
Having left school Marc worked initially for a small Italian restaurant and then moved to a new hotel in the area. This allowed time for chef school as well as a varied and busy kitchen environment. Through the hotel network, he traveled and worked at a number of locations but in 1994 he and a friend opened up a bar/restaurant in sunny Spain... This experience was incredible, and upon returning back to UK the excitement was hard to replace so a career in IT began... Twenty years on the dream is back on track...
Marc has always been a passionate cook and says "the five years leading up to the opening of Marco Polo gave Sally and me the chance of intense market research.....it was a tough task at times but we borrowed the best parts of what other places are doing well and the birth of Marco Polo is the result! And our guests would tend to agree as they appreciate the lovely fresh local produce that the restaurant serves along with the well-stocked bar at affordable prices...
The food - all of which is fresh and locally sourced - is Caribbean in style but tempered to a non-Caribbean palate. Whether just popping in for a quick bite at the bar, or for a three course sit-down Lobster dinner with friends or family, there's something on the menu to satisfy most occasions.

Sally, like Marc, fell in love with Barbados back in 2004 so when they finally moved here in 2008 the project then began to open Marco Polo Bar & Grill...
Heading up the kitchen team Sally's focus is always the freshness of ingredients to reap the right results, infusing local herbs and spices with a little UK flair. You will be delighted with the simple yet very tasty dishes, Sally says "We have a small but well thought out menu, with our specials board as well I'm sure there is something for everyone... failing that, ask and if we can we will oblige"
